How to create a load plan for oversized cargo

How to create a load plan for oversized cargo?

Certain types of cargo can be safely transported, even if they exceed or overhang the loading area of your trailer. EasyCargo can manage unique scenarios such as these. It's up to you to decide how much you want to increase the loading area, so it can accommodate your cargo. This being said, always follow the laws and regulations in the countries and or states where you will be transporting the cargo.

Click the truck icon in the Loading Calculation Settings panel to create an overhang. You can adjust the total value or specify by how much the space is increased. These values can be adjusted for all directions, such as length, width, and height. Of course, the space can also be reduced to specific scenarios, such as when you need to use the end of the vehicle for additional cargo. The last icon will cancel all of the previously made changes and edits.

You can adjust the dimensions of your cargo space needed for the one-time transport of an oversized shipment, without making permanent changes to the cargo space. This configuration is particularly useful for cargo spaces, specifically flatbeds or open-top trailers, that don't have a clearly defined loading area with solid walls. Furthermore, these settings can also be used when it is necessary to leave space between the cargo and the ceiling for airflow, especially in the scenario of a refrigerated container.

Of course, these modifications can be applied to all predefined cargo spaces. This applies to both the vehicles themselves and to individual pallets if needed. Imagine a scenario in which you have a 120x80 centimeter pallet that you need to load 60x60 centimeter boxes. Without modification of the pallet, you can fit 2 of these boxes on this pallet in one layer, which will allow you to have 8 boxes on each pallet. However, if you increase the overlap on the shorter side of the pallet by 40 centimeters, which is 20 centimeters on each side, you can fit 4 boxes in each layer on the pallet. That's 16 boxes per pallet, thus doubling your capacity! You can also adjust the height at which the pallet can be loaded at your discretion.

EasyCargo can simply be adapted to your wishes and requirements in situations that go beyond the previously mentioned scenarios.
